History

The Triangle Sports Commission, founded in 2001, began as an all-volunteer organization that sought to win a bid to bring USA Baseball’s National Training Center and Headquarters to North Carolina. After winning the USA Baseball bid, the TSC served as liaison in creating partnerships between the Town of Cary and the City of Durham in solidifying USA Baseball’s home in the Triangle. The organization has evolved since then, and in the fall of 2007 hosted the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the United States Olympic Festival.
