WakeMed Soccer Park

Located in Cary, WakeMed Soccer Park is home to the best action in college soccer. A frequent host of the ACC Men’s and Women’s soccer tournaments as well as the NCAA College Cup for men and women, WakeMed Soccer Park has permanent seating for 7,000 with expansion room. In addition to the lighted stadium field, there are two lighted practice fields and five additional fields. The park also has concessions, restrooms, locker rooms, and meeting space. Lacrosse, youth football, and ultimate frisbee can be played on the fields, and a world-class cross country course encircles the park. The world-class cross country course encircles the park.

 

PNC Arena

Home to the 2006 Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes, in addition to NC State Basketball, the PNC Arena in Raleigh is the area’s premier arena. In recent years, the PNC Arena has hosted the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament, in addition to the MEAC and CIAA conference tournaments. Opened in 1999, the PNC Arena is a first class venue with major league amenities.

 

USA Baseball National Training Center

When USA Baseball decided to relocate in 2002, the Triangle Sports Commission made a strong push to land the national governing body. Five years later, the result was the opening of the USA Baseball National Training Center in Cary and the move of their headquarters to Durham. The USA Baseball National Training Center features a 1,700-seat stadium built to MLB standards plus three additional baseball fields. The complex is home to USA Baseball’s annual Tournament of Stars, and in 2008 hosted the University of North Carolina Tar Heels while their stadium underwent construction. Koury Natatourium

Located on the campus of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, Koury Natatourium is one of the finest swimming facilities on the east coast. This 50 meter pool seats 2,000 fans, and has hosted major events including the U.S. Senior Short Course Nationals, U.S. Masters Swimming Short Course Nationals, the U.S. Olympic Festival swimming competition, as well as many years of ACC Championships.

 

Wallace Wade Stadium

Home to Duke University football and track, Wallace Wade Stadium seats 35,000. Over the years, several notable events have been held at the scenic facility, including the 2000 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

 

Cary Tennis Park

With 30 championship tennis courts, including one stadium court, the Cary Tennis Park  is an attractive venue for any large tennis event. Events held at the park have included USTA sectionals, ACC Championships, and the USTA National Campus Championships.
